My Work

I produce work in a very experimental manner, where I develop my ideas through drawing and mixed media prints. I then manipulate the forms and shapes into textiles through a combination of embroidery and heat press and transfer prints. Being appreciative of all fabric, I like to work with a multitude of textures from linens to silks of both wider and slimmer weaves. I consider my work to be highly decorative, containing layer upon layer of tactile fabrics and stitch. I regularly experiment with colour too, which is seen within images below:

(Some images contain work that is in the process of being completed just to show my development process)

The work that I have produced above is the development stage of my project named 'You Sunk My Battleship'. The work was exhibited at the Victoria Mill Arts Centre in Congleton under the branded named of 'Studio O' which I am involved in with 11 other mixed disciplined artists. You can see the final show on my home page and exhibition page. Below is a section of a drawing sheet that I have been developing, inspired by human anatomy and the skeletal structure.
